    Default Madhouse TV Program

Look the weather sinks too much to Crappie Fish right now.

    Football season is ending.

    Baseball hasn't started yet.

    Nascar season hasn't started yet.

I found a program on the History Channel that I have been watching! Oh I know I am going to pay for this! OLD DW watching the History Channel, I can hear it now.

On Sunday nights at 9pm on the History Channel there is a program called Madhouse. It is about the Nascar Modified racing at Bowman Gray Stadium in downtown Winston-Salem, NC. It shows the drivers working on their cars during the week in their shops. Shows the race on Saturday nights and the fights during and at the end of the race. Kind of neat. At least it is giving me some racing in the off season.

Here is the link to the website about the show:

I figured I would pass this along to all my fellow race fans going nuts without any good car racing on TV.

Believe or not,Dad would take us kids there once in a while in the late 60's early 70's.There was a football field in the center that the HS played friday nights, not sure it is still there?
I had forgotten about it till last year, when I was doing a search on demo0derbies-some how ran across it.
As a kid,it sucked because we moved around so much, but I did get to see a lot of the eastern US.

They say that Bowman Grey was the first ever licensed Nascar track. And it seats 17,000 people. I know when I have watched the program you sure don't see very many empty seats.
