but obama is a whole new flavor of scary! something that has not been seen far exceeding my lifetime. he wants an almost total government complete takeover of the private sector, aka communism. obama's war-mongering is not with other nations, it's with the US citizens.

is the government more afraid of you than you are of them? of course the govt is not afraid of you, not in the slightest. and when the people fear the govt rather than the govt fearing the people you do not have a democracy, but rather a tyranny
Checks and balance! I Remember the attack on the Clinton Administration because he got a nobber in the white house Oh my God!! Bush lied to millions of people to start a war we were not prepared for. When we leave that place it will be the same as before we got there, ragheads will take over and there goes the neighborhood! History repeats itself! Give the man a chance, he has 8 years of mistakes to fix. I don't consider myself a Rep. or a Dem. Just want someone that will take us back to the top of the food chain! If the Rep. party were doing everything so right then why were they so soundly defeated in the election?? Just sayin every party has their own spin on things! If I remember correctly, every pres has campaigned that they could fix health care but it never came to truth! I for one don't like the idea that elderly people have to choose between eating cat food or taking their meds! We are not a third world country yet so we need to stop acting like we are.

This win in Massachusetts is equivalent to being behind by 25 in the 9th with two outs and we just got a base hit.

The Republic is in Unchartered Waters friends.

Both liberal parties (Reps & Dems) continue to raid the empty treasury for political gain. When the Federal Government can no longer find investors, foreign or domestic, for its debt, monetization and mass to hyperinflation will take effect. Just take a look at the fall of the Roman Empire. Expensive unsustainable social programs & endless expensive wars are a recipe for disaster. We are not immune. Especially with the Keynesian economist that believe fiat currency can be printed to create and sustain prosperity.

As far as numbers of years of mistakes to fix? I would say the Government's solution to the mistakes are to endeavor upon bigger and grander mistakes like the ones that have been made over the last 150 years.

It's my belief the only way to salvage the Republic is to return to Constitutional principals. It would be painful, but not nearly as painful as the next bust coming that has been built by ALL of the Executives and Legislatures since the 1910's.

I also love turnip greens, cooked cabbage, catfish, fatback and beans and Britney Spaniels. One of the smartest dogs I ever owned. I knew there was a reason we get along so well but I didn't vote for him. (I'm also originally from Texas but don't tell anyone).

I wouldn't be ashamed to say I was from Texas, that is one state where most of the folks understand what state rights are, and the state it's self is in pretty good shape with all this crap the last 80 or so years.
California has one of the largest populations, with some of the richest people, and they are flat broke, looking for bail outs from "THE REST OF THE STATES". At least here in MO, we are holding our own..............for now?!?

I totally agree with your last comment about choice of food or meds. no one should have to be stuck with that choice. I do believe there are other ways to fix the problem besides having us our children and grandchildren pay for it for the next century. How about tort reform? If people are allowed to sue for anything from spilling hot coffee on your self, to falling in walmart to a mistake made by a doctor, we will never be able to have affordable health care without breaking everyones bank. We do have the best educated doctors in the world. Put a cap on the amount a person can sue for and things such as health insurance will go down. All I'm saying is there has to be a way. Maybe some one from this forum needs to run. Atleast we can have cival conversations about anything. I did not realize this would go this long. Maybe we can nominate Gator or Beagle in 2012. Third party CDC.
