WOW, that sucks! Your wife obviously did the right thing, and now has to answer for it? Don't think so. I'd tell the cops to pizz up a rope.

Some sort of lie detector I guess, but yea, arrest her or something if she "is" a suspect, but not to go out of "her" way to rule her out.
I didn't know this po-dunk little town would have that technology.
I don't think there would be any way to PROVE anything one way or another, I don't think the police really suspect her, they just need to watch how they say and approach things.

    whoever lost the wallet should:

    A) be glad they got their wallet back

    and

    B) be glad there is still $200 in it

if the finder of any lost wallet was a thief, there would not be a wallet turned into the police. bummer man, sorry for your wife to have the drama for being honest.
Why do I have to press 1 for English?

I Sure Thought That Marshall, Missouri Was More Than A Hick Town! And As Far As Dollar General I Guess We See How They Support The People Working For Them! I Would Tell Those Local Cops To Kiss Off! If Someone Was Going To Steal It They Would Have Taken All Of It!

From my experience, people are a lot more gracious. Sounds like the victim is one of the bad apples. The next 99 times she finds a wallet, it will go differently, I bet.

    Sucks this time, though.

Keep us posted on what happens. Should be interesting.
