    Default Mixed bag

Great weather to be on the water so away I went. Stayed close to home so went to Pomme. Fished a new to me area looking for brush piles and open water schools. Found some new to me piles but no open water schools. Most fish caught on a 1/16th oz blue head jig with a bait fuel monkey milk body. Kind of strange to be bringing a jig across a brush pile and a white bass in the brush comes out and nails it. Most of my white bass are out in the open. Several boats on the water so I must not have been the only one taking advantage of the weather.Name: thumbnail_IMG_1938.jpg

Looks like you had a really nice day on the water. Those whites sure can pull and taste good too.

Incredible day WTG. Didn't know whites would be in the brush like that and attack a jig coming across. Big white and nice Crappie is a terrific mixed bag for sure.

Speaking of eat them, what do you do with them?

Small ones I'll make fish tacos, no need to remove the red dark meat and typically never freeze whites. Never keep the bigger ones.

    Just curious.

Little bit harder to clean. But once red meat removed delicious fried. Usually use them dusted in taco seasoning and for fish tacos. I have to admit since I have plenty of crappie seldom keep them. My son's bunch prefer fish that taste like fish so I mix them in with crappie and everyone is happy.
