Thank You Speck, Yes sir, I'm getting with the program, least wise till It's too hot and I'm give out...Being at home all the time, I need to stay busy, or boredom takes over, so I try to stay busy. I want the boat ready to go as much as possible when I get the motor back. I did some sanding tonight and have all the pieces ready either for the first or third coat of spar polyurathane. Been using the minwax professional grade in satin over the natural wood, and it looks pretty good, just not getting the depth I was looking for. May see if I can overcoat this with a thicker type of coating. I want to make sure every nook and cranny is covered with no chance of water getting in and rotting wood, least wise as long as I'm still breathing anyway...hahaha. Keep watching, It's going to be nice.
Once I get the wood done, gonna see maybe About painting it. I'm thinking a single base med./dark Blue up to the rub rail at the water line, and white above that, and not sure about the inside, but sure it will get a non reflective color there also. we will see. After that while it's off the trailer, it'll get stripped, and going to media blast it, check all the welds, fill in/ replace any potted up metal areas, Prime it, and probably paint it to match the bottom of the boat. Replace all wiring, and lights, put a spare tire mount somewhere, put three new tires on, then it will be like brand new...Just a matter of time. Least wise that's the game plan anyway. till tomorrow folks. Eric, AKA "jamesdean".
