Almost all the fish we caught were males and you had to work for them. You had to keep moving once and awhile you catch two or three in one spot but for the most part it was one fish here one there. Very spotty. Color didn't seam to matter too much.
I had the same experience. Catch 2 or 3 in one spot then nothing. Had to keep moving. Went to bucksaw first, saw the parking lot and turned back around to sparrowfoot area. Fishing different coves out of the wind. Didn't manage much. Males didn't appear to be very dark yet. I caught a few females full of eggs still firm. Talked to a couple guys that did pretty good in the early mornings before sunrise the past couple days. Won't tell me where though. I didn't ask as I didn't think it was appropriate, but they limited out the past couple days before sunrise.
