My 83-year -old father and I went out of Bucksaw yesterday and we cleaned 17. We had a few more keepers on the smaller side that were returned to the water. Most were caught just off the shore in about 3 feet of water. Fished both up and down from Bucksaw and caught fish both directions. Not bad but definite room for improvement.

Fished the last two days, Monday at pretty bob we limited out in the evening the bite turned on casting jigs on the bank. Fished Tuesday morning at wrights creek and caught a limit pitching jigs around stumps close to the bank. They didn't seem to be on the main banks you had to find a little cut or secondary cove in the bank and then cast around stumps and lay downs. Almost all the fish we caught were males and you had to work for them. You had to keep moving once and awhile you catch two or three in one spot but for the most part it was one fish here one there. Very spotty. Color didn't seam to matter too much.
Smile, it kills time between disasters!

I had the same experience. Catch 2 or 3 in one spot then nothing. Had to keep moving. Went to bucksaw first, saw the parking lot and turned back around to sparrowfoot area. Fishing different coves out of the wind. Didn't manage much. Males didn't appear to be very dark yet. I caught a few females full of eggs still firm. Talked to a couple guys that did pretty good in the early mornings before sunrise the past couple days. Won't tell me where though. I didn't ask as I didn't think it was appropriate, but they limited out the past couple days before sunrise.
