been drooling over pictures of SeaArk procat 240's since I first rode in one. Monster of a boat that is originally designed for catfishing but it has a big ol front deck begging for an add-a-seat that I think would make it a great crappie boat as well. Tons of room, decent storage and monster live well (60 gallons). The boat doesn't ride like aluminum boat let alone like a mod v, probably because of the length and steeper/longer angle of the bow. It rides like a deep v. Best feature in it, no carpeting at all. It is wall to wall spray-on liner from the factory. I grew up dreading dropping hooks on carpeting and having to dig it out, let alone having to let the boat dry out before you could store it. If you get around truman and LOZ much you have probably seen Steve running around in one. Can't miss it with the catfishsafari stenciled on the side. Steve operates catfishsafari catfish guide service on truman and LOZ and he helped develope the boat for SeaArk. Great boat, just have to convince the wife to let me buy one.
Opinions are like A-holes, everybody has one and some stink worse than others!

I have a 2003 Tracker Pro Team 185 with a 90 Merc. I had a 17 foot flat bottom tracker before this one and I promise, in it you would get a bath in rough water. The '03 is much better in rough water. I would reccommend upgrading to a 24 volt trolling motor. Fiberglass boats will take rough water better than aluminum, but might cost more to operate. Good fishing!

My cousin has a sea ark, it originally had carpet, but he has since got it all rhino-lined. Its definately a tough, fairly maintenance free rig. Its not very fast though, and it rides pretty rough, but it is all but bulletproof

I just hit my sixth decade and have had aluminum boats since I was old enough to drive, so I guess my opinion is a little slanted. I think I will try a glass boat next time around.

How fast does your boat run? I have a duracraft 15 42 that was my papa's. I look at boats all the time and someday plan on buying a bigger boat, yours just went to the top of my list, although I am along ways away from buying another boat.

    Default predator speed

With the 75 hp optimax my predator does about 35 mph on avg. 38 when the water is 50degrees or colder. Best boat I have ever owned. One fantastic crappie fishin machine. like the forward built in mareated minnow bucket as well as forward aeration and recirculation controls for front aerated 82qt livewell. This boat has two built in coolers that drain outside the boat instead of inside like my old alumacraft superbandit. These guys at war eagle thought of everthing. I especially like being able to put ten foot rods on both sides of the boat without having them in the way. I will be bringing this boat to crappie camp this spring if you want to see it. I am so looking forward to meeting the many nice people I have met on this site. This site rocks.

I used to own a 19' charger w/175 this boat would ride well in choppy water easy to manuever and great to fish from, Inow own a 20' lund, this boat will beat you up. any wide alum boat rides very rough and the slightest breeze will blow you around like a sailboat. If I wasn"t retired I would trade For a Glass boat . any boat catches fish Be comfortable doing it. Go FIBERGLASS!!
