Reality...I have a 15 foot sea ark...its very similar to trackers panfish stick steer model as far as setup, only mines tiller motor, its a great little boat, but a little on the small side

My ideal or dream boat is 20ft center console grizzly w/biggest motor possible, that I drool about every trip to bps (or similar other make) but a nice aluminum, center console with a good sized motor would do it for me....

Tin gets my vote.I have a 18'86" polarkraft with a 90 yamaha. I bought it new 4 years ago and LOVE it! she's wide enough to be real stable with a bowfishing platform, but narrow enough to weave around the stickups at twain. 2 guys can fish side by side in the front or back of the boat. also, she dont need but about 2.5 ft of water to float, which was a must for catching catfish bait on the mo river. she pulls nice too, my 6 cylinder explorer easily does the job.
my last boat was a 16.5" monarch, aluminum semi-v. real narrow and all the rivets were starting to leak. stay away from riveted boats, IMO. also, no matter what you choose to fish from, have a trolling motor that has twice the battery and power you need. I run a 75lb motorguide wireless 24v with 2 optima batteries and I have never ran out of juice in one day of trolling. oh, yeah, I almost forgot, I learned real quick with my last boat that carpet is for livingrooms! not fishing boats and definataly not for a catfish boat. LMAO! my new boat has a camo rubber surface. just pressure wash it out a few times a year!

I have a 2010 Lowe 195 I love this boat. I fish alot by myself this boat is big but handles great. I also take my grandkids when I can and it also works great for that. I have a Mercury 115 4 stroke and a motor guide 71 lb thrust trolling motor which takes me where I want to go as fast as I need to. I had a 2009 Lowe 195 but I had some trouble with the keel getting a 13 foot split last Dec. 2 miles from the ramp. Lowe took care of the problem and replaced it with a 2010 which had all the welds it was suppose to have and was reinforced better. I would recommend this boat and I would also recommend Angler's Port Marine in Warsaw where I purchased my boat. When I had trouble they got me back on the water as soon as possible. The place where you buy a boat is also something very important consider.

I had an 18' Lowe for 20 plus yrs that blew around alot in the wind and rode pretty rough so I traded for a Crestliner F&S. I wasn't happy with the lack of space on the bow for fishing so I got ahold of a Ranger 482 with a Yamaha. I love this boat but don't like buying the fuel for it. I need to learn to catch my fish closer to the ramp. Actually the real fuel problem is my love of "speed". MY PREFERENCE IS GLASS

Ya Mike that one would be just a touch faster than you would want to go for a ride in. 80 mph plus I would say.

I have a 1998 Tracker Targa with a 125 Merc. I ONLY Fish LOZ so their are several reasons that this boat is good for me. When your 65 and over weight its easy to fall in your boat with the waves on LOZ. Also its got lots of room and rides pretty good through the rough water. Walk thru windshield is great protection from rain and water splasting up. But if Ihad the money, CRESTLINER would be the one.

I did a lot of crappie fishing in Texas and wanted aluminum to bounce around the stick ups and not worry about punching a hole in the bottom. There was always a good chance of rough water coming up fast and in my Tournament TX I got wet a lot. Tracker came out with the Avalanche and I snatched one up. I love it but for some reason they quit making it. I can ride in rough water and not get wet and can bounce around stumps without worrying about punching a hole in the bottom.
