What kind of boat do you have, or would like to have?

I've got a 16 1/2 foot Starcraft Superfisherman Fish and Ski with a 90 hp Mercury Optimax. Had it for quite some time ... it still looks good ... no leaks ... great family boat ... deep V and safe on rougher water ... pulls a ski well ... only drawback is it's a little harder to handle with the trolling motor when it's real windy.

Aluminum deck boat, comfortable for 9. Love being able to walk around. Rigging on the huge front deck is great. Hull is only 1500 lbs. Hard to 2 pole troll and no fishing seats in the rear, catches a lot of wind (better than a pontoon). With 115 horse it scoots nicely but not too thirsty.
Growing up at LOZ everyone had multiple boats, this is kind of the best of em all rolled in one.

I had an 1860 G3 for about 10 years it was a good fishing boat and great river boat but the wind really affected it. I love my big ole heavy Ranger. It is comfortable and really fishes well in the wind. Laura and I were rigging on Enid two years ago. There was a big Lund fishing next to us. It was a typical spring day in Mississippi (15-20 mph wind with gusts up to 30) The Lund was bouncing so hard their poles were slapping the water. My Ranger just eased along with not much bounce at all. Got to talking to the Lund owner at the ramp. He tried everything he could to get me to sell him my boat. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to aluminum except for a river boat

Ranger 619/620 FS is in the works for me.

After spending 5 years fishing Lake Michigan and other large inland lakes that are subjected to wind and can change QUICKLY, a deep, heavy and safe rig (for my girls) is an absolute necessity. I also like the Ranger deck space for rigging and they are clearly trolling machines. I'm 37 and the way I look at it, this rig will last me up to retirement. Should serve us well down in North Carolina as well!

I have a Tracker Tournament V17. Deep V bass boat, with a 75hp Suzuki.

It's okay. The ride is decently smooth for aluminum. It is wide and stable. Not a speed demon but moves quick enough. My biggest gripe is the wet ride. If you are quartering any decent sized waves, you get wet. Since it's a bass boat, the sides are really low for a deep V.

Eventually I would like to have a similar deep V with taller sides, and a ~60hp 4 stroke tiller. Something like a Lund Pro V, or Alumacraft Competitor.

2018 Ranger RT178 aluminum. smooth ride, stable, lots of storage, 60 Merc 4 stroke. Under powered in my opinion. Purchased new, would I buy another Ranger, probably not. Too many stupid little things that keep coming loose or breaking.

I have two. A 20' Skeeter and a 170 TF Tracker. The Skeeter for bigger water and when courtesy docks are available. The tin Tracker for when I need to put in places the fiberglass boat shouldn't go.
