Pole numbers will not matter in a few short years down the road. Spider rigging won't be used unless you just want to troll through the scraps left by
the folks with advanced electronics. Knowledge of the outdoors will not play a part that will separate a good fisherman from the general public of almost
any age. Many times at night when I first went to bed, I thought how neat it would be if you could see (as if the water was clear) fish that were within
30 or 40 yards of you that you fished right by. I wanted that vision for me, I guess, not the general public. The world's technology is changing so fast.
You have to change with it or be left behind. I am going to be left behind and live off of memories. I have tons of them. For a while at least.
