Take care of it. The real pain will be the Dr bill.

I agree about the ER bill. I’ve worked ER and the best way is the string around the shank. Fastest and least painful. I’ve done it a hundred times and its worked every time. Carry a piece of heavy line in case it happens to me while fishing. Antibiotics a good idea, but plain ole soap and water is the best bet. Take care of it and you will be filling the live well in no time.

If you were on trial for being a Christian would there be enough evidence to convict you??

I've done that twice. Once I caught a bream on a crank bait and it flopped while I was trying to get it unhooked. Hook went straight into my thumb. Real bad thing is the fish was on the other hook flopping around. I finally managed to get my pliers out and snip the hook off. Tried all I could to get it out and no luck. Trip to ER and all he really did was tie a string around it and was talking to me to keep me occupied and then jerked it real fast! I'll say once you do that a time or two, you get a little skittish!!!

I noticed you caught a catfish, slime off the belly will stop pain and is a great antibiotic. This is true! Sorry about the wound. Good day for you, otherwise.
