I agree about the ER bill. I’ve worked ER and the best way is the string around the shank. Fastest and least painful. I’ve done it a hundred times and its worked every time. Carry a piece of heavy line in case it happens to me while fishing. Antibiotics a good idea, but plain ole soap and water is the best bet. Take care of it and you will be filling the live well in no time.
