Snubbys said that's the easy lake! :rofl hehehe

Just messin, glad you still had a good time out there. Would have traded my day at work to strike out fishing on any lake.

And for the record, Snubbys did actually say she has some giants if you can ever manage to get bit!

Butla was a lot more productive before the low water year in 2012. Lake was hurt during that summer when level got down to 207 and fish were hemmed up in small water. Then the lake got absolutely hammered that fall when the lake level came up and the bite turned on. Boat ramps were full and countless limits caught that fall. Lake hasn't been good for me since then.

You're absolutely right, Catchum. And the pressure increased when Lakeview was shut down. Still some giants in there, but just hard to pattern.

Only been there once, Bout a month ago. We pushed some cranks. It was a stormy lookin morning had storm systems on both sides of us, there wasnt another boat within sight. and only seen one put in as we left out. Wind was terrible and we couldnt fish where we intended. ended up against the bank in 11 fow runnin baits bout 8 ft deep,
She gave up 10 big keepers we felt very lucky!

Snubbys gonna show me how to really get'er done down there someday!

Sounds like you going to show me, 10 on Butla is a very good day anytime! I haven't fished out there since the 1st week of June and caught a few males in Hurricane creek. Not sure how my name keeps getting brought with Butla, like I told Rees one day on Enid, if I could catch crappie consistently on Arkabutla lake you would never see my boat south of Hwy 306, his reply was heck, you and everybody else! It is a very tough lake to fish, one that will humble the best fishermen, so I'm really no challenge for her! Lots of other people who forgot more about the lake then I will ever know. Come on down we give it a try, will look forward to the company! What the old saying misery needs company

Well I was all exited about it because it closer for me than grenada and the fish seem just as big or bigger.
From the sound of it seems like I got very lucky.
But I rather be lucky than good anyday.
Never was much good at anything but eatin, so when I am fishin I rely alot on luck!!!!!
