Agree 100%. 15 fish, 30 for two is more than plenty to keep and eat.

We just got back yesterday from Lake Washington. I love the lake, the beauty of the cypress and the tranquil environment.
Over the past 3 years, it seems that our trips down have seen a decrease in size or quality of fish that the lake is famous for.
I will be back, but our group will be going to a different state and knock one more off of our bucket list.
I agree with lowering the creel limit, but I would also remove the capability to keep 5 "unders". Regardless if you have a catch and release mentality, and lower the creel, allowing sportsman to keep under sized fish is degrading your genetics and trophy argument.
We caught less 2lb fish this year than last year. The pressure that the lake is experiencing is not helping, but we have to allow the biologist to do their jobs as stated earlier.
I have never heard of sportsman complaining about other duck hunters wasting game, or shooting too many. Most folks pitch waterfowl in their trash cans after all the duck commander photos are taken.

The problem with Washington is that's it's a really small and simple lake to figure out. The only thing that saves it from being picked clean is high winds and the fact its in a fairly remote, low population area with limit amenities.

Well I will be there starting Thursday thru Saturday fishing in Crappiemasters event. I can assure you the majority of us tournament fishermen turn our catch back into the lakes. It is a wonderful lake that I hope does not fold to the pressure like a cheap lawn chair. That being said I fish hard every weekend that I can rarely do I wanna fillet 30 fish I would not have anywhere to put them. I think it is the boasting of pictures on internet anout "got my limit" I wish they would reduce my home lake of Darbonne to 20 and 12". Have you ever measured a 12" crappie he is not all that big. With that I can't get there fast enough with my boat full of rods and minnows.

One of the big problems that should be eliminated is all these people that come to Lake Washington with their freezers in the back of their trucks. They keep every fish they catch no matter the size. When the damn freezer is worth more than the truck this should notify the proper authorities that Washington has a problem.

And most trollers couldn't catch a fish unless someone told them where to go now don't get me wrong some are as good as they come. But when folks ask where to go on a lake the answer is find the boats and thats what he does he has know clue as to why the fish are even in that area. Now I dont have a problem with people catching fish trolling if its legal do it and enjoy.
    Agreed Lake washington

I recently wrote our local commissioner regarding my concerns with Lake Washington and this was his reply: "Below is a memo you might want to read. For some time, rumors have floated around that people from out of state are coming here catching fish and selling them in their home states. While you mention Lake Washington, those rumors also apply to Enid, Sardis, and other lakes. However, we at the department do not have any concrete evidence this has taken place and we have investigated these rumors. Your email also suggests there is a decline in the number of crappie in Lake Washington. Our biologists don’t see that and in fact say our numbers have been stable and consistent for 20 years."
