    Transducer went out on a year and half old Humminbird 998...also needs a cover. Started calling at 0830,, got connected at 1100, spent an hour and 15 minutes ON HOLD...then got to pay $327....Not my idea of good customer service..She said they were extremely busy this time of the year...My next unit probably won't be a Humminbird

    I had to call and get a transducer back in the spring and it wasnt to bad i think I was on hold for 5-10 min. I dunno why they would be so busy this time of the year.

    I called today about a power cord cause my depthfinder is getting interference. They sending me a new power cord pc11 I think that's what it is free of charge. Hate u had a bad experience

    Transducer and cover wasn't$327 was it.Think you can get the transducer for $200 or less

    Did you register it on-line after purchase? My understanding is you get 1 year warranty at purchase and if you go on-line and register it you get a extra year warranty which would make it 2 year.

    Ducer 269, cover 25, 33 to overnight it..yeah..heard about the extra warranty when I started having trouble..My bad, I guess... Seems they should last more than two years for what they cost.

    That sucks Knightshadow I feel your pain. Just out of curiosity is the warranty any better from other manufacturers???

    A year and a half ago the 998 was a clearance model as the 999's were out. Probably affected the warranty length.

    I've always had great customer service from Humminbird.

    They are probably swamped because ICast just ended last week. Trying to fill all their orders on the Helix stuff.

    $1600 from BBG didn't sound like clearance price to me.....I am not upset about the price..evidently I screwed up by not seeing the extra warranty deal....I am upset that it took so long to get online...then an hour and 15 minutes on hold...there is no excuse for that..My 45 years in sales says that was inexcusable
