Was gonna try Grenada next but now I am not so sure. As far as the killing undersized fish, I know that nothing is wasted in nature. Just hard to explain that to that crappie you just killed.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

It's a shame that some fish don't make it, but that's the way it goes in all of nature.

I don't explain anything to a crappie tho. Worst thing about cranking.Worst thing about cranking.Worst thing about cranking.

Have you ever stopped to consider the numbers of hours logged per year by enforcement and the hours fished by all fishermen ? I would not worry about how many died from the release of injured fish. Lived there on that lake for 14 years . 80 % of the folks I knew would laugh at you for throwing any back . Lassie, flipper, rat patrol and the Waltons way of life no longer exist .One of the reason I like crappie .com guys is because "most" do right in the sight of the law . jmo.

This weekend was my first time pulling cranks in Mississippi and I had a hard time throwing back fish that I knew were going to die. I was raised if you kill it you eat it. I do appreciate the better than twelve inch size limit ya'll have in Mississippi. We do not have a size limit here in Georgia. I wish we had at least a ten inch size limit.
