I use the kind I mentioned earlier because it fits my needs the best and of good quality, I try hard to stay away from saying something is "The Best" because that's just opinion.
Lot of good designs out there and I know of several that swore by one type just a year ago that have changed up what they are doing for whatever reason, lot of times that reason is sponsorship of some sort.
You are correct but anybody who cares to go back thru my posts will find I have been liking and using HiTeks since I bought my 1st ones several years ago. I've bought every one of my Hi Teks until Scott recently sent me something to try and give my HONEST feedback on for my Excel. I wasn't saying his are best or others don't work equally well for others. I have used most of those mentioned and for my style of fishing, the HiTeks work better. I also told Scott that he had better expect my brutally honest opinion if I found something about his rail system I didn't like.

I recently spoke with a gentleman who sells other brands of rod holders and asked me if I was happy with my current choice. I said I was and he told me I should stay with the one that I am happy with and works best for my application. I would tell others to do the same thing.

BTW, I paint a ton of c55s and other cranks but I still have a place in my box and on my rods for many other baits like Bandits, Bombers, Rebels, Normans, etc. Same argument can apply.
