exact reason i use the spyderloks now,no tools to adjust.They both have there good and bads.the hiteks i had i believe when spiderrigging i could grab the rod better when i got a bite,less bulky,solid as a rock.The spiderloks i have now no tool adjustment,height adjustable,holder design locks the rod in place,dislikes bulky and wish they were more solid upright
