Choctaw lake
I went to Choctaw lake today and caught 1 keeper. Got there around 1:30 and around 3:30 I noticed schooling shad on the surface all over the place and the feeding began! That's when I caught that one crappie, since they were hitting the shad at the surface I decided to fish 4 ft deep and caught him off a brushtop. I was fishing from the bank but I know it was a brushtop because I got hung. today marks my second visit to Choctaw my first day, which was yesterday, I caught a few small fish around 7-10 ft. Any advice on how I can land more fish and bigger fish as well? I don't have a boat so I'm without the electronics that will allow me to locate fish more precisely. I know the deepest part of the lake is only 15-16 ft based off the map from mdwf.
