    Thanks for the suggestions.

The boats I was seeing were small enough that I could pull them easily through the trails behind my four wheeler. I have some old wheels/tires I am going to use under it.

I saw tons of those boats last year fishing a creek at sardis and they seemed to work better than my 14 foot jon boat with trolling motor.....Im excited now I have a 1652 with a brand new 30 hp...cant wait to try fishing out a little deeper at sardis as the only places i have ever fished was about 1-5 foot of water in the backs of creeks during the spawn in late march and april....

use to fish wildcat alot. there was a fella in water valley named ed kennedy(cannady) something like that, that built alot of these boats for folks. would take a ten or twelve and cut and weld the nose. handy little boats.

Ed is the one I remember that made them. My uncle and I went to his shop once. The more you wanted on it the more it cost.

We camped at Water Valley Landing in March of 2006. 15 sites were taken. I was the only one with a big boat. Some sites would have 2 or more.

I may be out of luck on this. I don't have a boat I want him to cut down. Hmmm. I wonder if an inflatable of some sort could stand up to the stiff pricks of all that dead grass. Quality is good. Cheap is awesome, though.

I'm not cheap, but I am.

Watch craigslist, not just N MS but about 200 miles away. I've seen boats for 100. in the sporting goods. Sometimes in the free section.

    Look at kayaks.

Thanks for the idea. I've been checking out the Tradewinds, but I didn't think about craigslist.

2 years ago I was looking at different listings on craigslist. Got to Jackson,TN farm & garden, "large lot of concrete castle stones, 0.25 each." The stones that cost about $5 each new. I called and he sent me a picture, I'll be up there tomorrow. 141 miles up there and 152 miles back to my son's place twice for 460 stones. The wife came out while I was loading them on the second trip. We got to talking. She found out what I was giving them to my son, how far I was driving and what her husband charged. Made him give back the 57.50 I paid him the day before.

The last ones I saw were in Tunica right on 61. I will check the next time I go through town. I would not be pulling one behind a four wheeler. You will have a hole in no time.
