spot's lower jaw is completely different than a largemouth, we have some in Grenada now that were released a few years back and they fight hard too.

As far as I know they are, Feesh says they are better eating than a regular largemouth and the GW down at Kemper said they are eating machines as well, they put a bunch in there as well when they drained Lake Tom Bailey.

Good thing I didn't keep him. I saw filets on that thing but didn't know the regs.

No slot on Sardis for bass. They removed restrictions on them a couple years ago, I believe. Seven fish creel, no minimum lngth limit.

It does not matter whether or not the length limit is 10, 11 or 12, too much pressure is the problem and there is no answer unless they just pour 10 inch fish into the lake each year. I guess we can always do like the quail hunters do. Go buy some fish and turn them loose and hope we can catch them. Us old codgers can't wait out too many cycles, we don't have enough time to spare.

I can't tell a difference in taste between largemouth and spots (we call them Kentuckys) as long as they're not too big.
    Tell'em I'll be there.
