Get you a nice fly reel that balances well with your pole. Got 15 lb line on it. Wally solo wold be good for a long handle rod for finger clearance just like a spinning reel. Plastic dont last. Go metal fly reel with a butt seat rod 12'. Or a bait cast. When you catch that fish you can slam the butt in the water or boat without damage.

I'm looking at getting a/some new reels for my jig poles. I haven't kept up with what the best thing going is so I wanted everyone's opinion on what they thought the best option was.

I will be mainly single pole jigging at Grenada and I like spincast reels the best for my jig poles

What at I want in order of importance:
    1) spin cast reel
    2) small and light
    3) price----not spending over $40 on a jig pole reel though
Well........get what you want and cast till your hearts content. All you mentioned above was single pole fishing.

Still prefer my zebco t11s. They last me several years. Mostly they just hold line. Easy to" open the bail" and let out line. Can cast if needed. Cheap. Light. Perfect on rear seat rods.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

The new Wally Marshall solo has a drag system and is very light weight. Only cost about $13-$14.
