Need some advice on bait colors and line wt. and line color. Gonna try a spring feed rock bottom lake that's crystal clear like Norfolk and Greers. Has huge crappie in it and its hardly never fished. Retirement community. Going late spring early summer to try it. I got muddy water down. Clueless on clear water.

It's has a lot of docks that's where some big ones are caught. Most dock owners feed the fish huge catfish in there to. The fish are pets to them and they get offended when you catch fish around there docks. I was planning on trolling by the docks. So what's a good clear water go to color I haven't jigged clear water. I have small mouth fished with a red and gold worm on Norfolk they love that color.
Haven't fished much really clear water, but when I lived in NW Arkansas I used and opaque blue and white a lot. Might try motor oil, clear with sparkle. CreekSlick should be able to help more than me. He fishes a lot of clear water.

Yeah he said awesome pink for cranks. Pink/chart/white on jig. Something with pink sounds to be the ticket. Going to try hi vis green 15# mono and 6# clear mono.
Chrome, translucent, shad, and other natural colors work on my clear lake (15 ft visibility). But at times, so does the gaudy colors.
