I wouldn't take nuttin for my glass boat 99% of the time but the other 1% I wouldn't take anything for my ole Jon boat. And when using the jon boat I aint puttin in at no ramp, using the 4 wheel drive and put in a creek somewhere.

REALLY???? I never fish anything less than 4 or 5 feet from the boat. I just get out and walk if I need to fish ultra shallow.

One thing is for sure though, most everyone is strongly opinionated on this subject. It's been discussed several times on here and I've not seen many people sway from their original beliefs. The best thing to do is to pick a couple of friends one with a metal boat, the other with a glass rig. Spend a day fishing with each and ask lots of questions, then you can make an educated purchase. BTW...When I say glass boats, I mean quality boats such as Ranger, Skeeter, Bass Cat, and Stratos. The top metal boats are War Eagle, Express (BRM must be asleep), and Ranger(they are coming out with a tin boat this year). I'm sure I missed a couple of each style, but you get my idea, "don't buy cheap junk". Outboards? Well that's a whole other discussion, but in my opinion if it ain't a Yamaha or a Mercury you wastin' money. Hope this helps!
    Everyone knows my opinion.
Built like a Glass boat, but it's Tin. Pad Ride Hull is sweeeeeet in the Rough Stuff!!!!!! And it will get shallow too!!! Just ask Yikes!!!
Mikes Ranger couldn't get close to him!!!!

Glass is sweet in deeper water. Gonna cost ya a lot more ifn you're lookin for a New one tho.

You are correct, i believe it was called Cherokee. They only made them for a couple of years probably 12-14 years ago.
