One thing to ponder is if you're fishing in stumps. That sick will get ripped to stress on stumps whereas a chain will still let you fish slow

GDG I got a question for you, I understand how socks can help hold the bow down and how it could really help with the Vee hull but what do you think it would do for a flat bottom Alum boat?

I think they would still work on tin boat as well, seems to me that when the front of the boat tries to come up no matter the kind of boat the socks will slow it down on the way up.

ok so i gots me an excell with pods or knee steps on the back, with 2batteries up under the deck and a gas tank then add 2 non feesh catchin sum beeches!! my a…z ends nearly up out the water so riddle me this, whats the best way to keep the rear from tryin to go over the front im already runnin 2-54" socks and the fronts as low as it gets?
Thanks guys, I'm still from the old school. I have only used socks and interested in the chains.

Has anyone ever used one sock off the Bow Eye , so it will be under the boat? Im thinkin bout this to slow when runnin the big motor pullin cranks.

Put you trolling motor down and turn it sideways, works on my cousins rig.
