One thing to ponder is if you're fishing in stumps. That sick will get ripped to stress on stumps whereas a chain will still let you fish slow

I think they would still work on tin boat as well, seems to me that when the front of the boat tries to come up no matter the kind of boat the socks will slow it down on the way up.
We drag em thru the stumps at Nader all the time. They will hang on one sometimes but we just back up get loose and go on. Never had one tear yet.Quote:

Has anyone ever used one sock off the Bow Eye , so it will be under the boat? Im thinkin bout this to slow when runnin the big motor pullin cranks.
Put you trolling motor down and turn it sideways, works on my cousins rig.
