Grenada is your best bet during that time for single poling. When u say deep cover how deep u talking about? There are a lot of variables but anything over 6 ft is off limits for me unless its a transition area(creek, river, etc). These lakes get muddy and the fish spawn really shallow. Calf deep shallow!!

You guys crack me up! Thanks for all the advice. I actually was able to get a cabin still at Hugh on Grenada. Heading down on 3/8. Cant wait for it.

bird down, I like to fish 14-20 in KY Lake this early, but I figure that they will be in a lot skinnier water than that in most places down there by early March.

You guys got any pointers on areas to start scanning when I get there. I am staying at Hugh White State Park.

Go right when you come out. There is a ramp in there at the state park too, I only say this because alot of folks dont realise it and drive around. At the fork where you go right to the cabins you take the left and it on the left before the road ends.

That's not the one you had to get rescued from is it ? I would just put them four lakes in a hat and draw . Even staying at grenada enid and sardis ain't far . Might take some of the heat off you from wannabe . Oh and by the way wannabe is ugly . That is what i would like to do . On my list .
