After the geezers raised cane at the fish hatchery meeting about spider rigging. I thought this would be the appropriate time to thank everyone for their advice about what type poles I should buy. I bought the 14 foot Ozark poles. Thanks to BRM he gave me a great price. If you need fishing equipment give him a chance.

Just put beads on all my poles. Will having a 3/8 or 1/2 oz weight negatively affect how the beads work ?Quote:

You are using 1 bead on main line only from tip eye to last eye on rod...

Excellent tip. Definitely going to try this on the lake today.
Does the size of the bead make much difference? I tried this yesterday after reading all the positive comments but I really couldn't hear the bead contact anything.
