Trollamatic works great on my 115. I can run from 1.4 to 2.2 now. What size motor do you have? Is it a four stroke? http://www.franksgreatoutdoors.com/trol-a-matic-1.html

You said you can get down to 2.2mph with your plate. You need to be able to pull at 1.5 sometimes.

No I meant it goes 2.2 without a plate Its 75 merc 2 stroke

The plate will work on your motor but....it will use a lot of gas to troll since it is a 2 stroke. It would be best in your case to use a trolling motor.

Use lots of gas and foul plugs.

exactly.....a four stroke with EFI is the only way to go .......... Wilbur what trolling motor do you have? Can you run 1.4 to 2.2 with it ? If you can use it .....if its a 12 volt....you might want to invest and connect two batterys in paralel so you will have more run time.
