You can run those over on Morrison but I'm not saying you are going to be able to detect a bite of any kind! You did good for 25 bucks. I remember those old riggers and there was nothing wrong with them then or now.
I have a set sitting up in my barn. Really only for one reason but, they are there in case I ever get the bug to come out of retirement and chase salmon on a regular basis. Until then, they sit for the 1 time I will need them tournament fishing. Had I gone to the soo this year, they would have come with me to fish the deep waters of lake George.
It sucks that you cannot even trust people that go to school for 8 years and are called "Doctors"! Of course, you know what they call a guy that finished med school with a D- don't you? Doctor! Same as the guy that got all A's.
I'm surprised your dad didn't tell them that he was going to go home and eat a pound of bacon and continue to do what he has done for years.
So glad for both reports. Sad about dad's misdiagnosis though.

Good to hear Judy is finished with treatment and your dad is OK.
I've been on a roof the last two days. 24 square strip and shingle with some plywood to replace. 5 square left to do tomorrow plus cap and chimney flashing. Leg cramps last night but just plain wore out tonight. Only had to holler at my helper a couple of times. he doesn't like it when I holler.
Looks like your going to beat the weather..might rain yet today, but its suppose to get to 90 and humid by the weekend...

Yeah, kind of sucks.
The NW winds and cold nights around 50 degrees, flipped Lake Michigan. It was 47 degrees at the surface the last day or two.
Salmon came in towards the Muskegon pier heads, and some were being caught off the piers by people casting spoons.
Charter's were catching them even with the pier heads.
If we would have had better rains, to flush the Muskegon river, and cool it down, we would have had a good Salmon run started. Weather just did not cooperate.
Instead, I think they are going to stage just outside, and wait a bit.
I am headed up Saturday to take a look and jig a bit, but the warm up doesn't really bode well for a expected Salmon run at this time.

I don't know why that makes me so happy! Wish I knew the name on the boat and truck. As I always say, a bass boat is a waste of good fiberglass.
I assume he couldn't afford the bigger motor OR, he was hoping for a high enough finish to get the Mercury motor upgrade.
Not only are they in a hurry on the water, but at the launch and now on the road!
Boat doesn't look as fast on dry land!
Sponsored by the local asphalt company!
Looks like he already replaced the lower unit once!
Wonder if he has a keel saver?
Least they had the nav lights in.
Aren't all the com0etitors supposed to be wearing a pfd when the boat is moving above idle speed?
I got more... I especially love old Mutt and Jeff (old comic reference) standing at the back of the trailer looking at it like it was the trailers fault.
