The lake warmed back up significantly.
Surface temps went up over 20 degrees in 48 hours.
As quickly as it flipped, the SW winds brought LOTS of warm water back to the surface.
Muskegon Lake water temp is roughly 74/76 degrees, and Salmon won’t hang out in that to feed.
Going to need some more N NE cold winds and a few more cold night and it should start, when though is the question.
A guide out of Muskegon was up at the PM River searching for good holes to fish for his charters in case the Salmon run @ Muskegon was bad again this year.
Time will tell.
Anybody know what kind of mushroom this is? They've been growing in my yard this year and I think they might be amanita thiersii but not sure.Attachment 314802Attachment 314803

I know that we are taking a trip to Northwoods one of the days with a stop at the cheese factory.
I’d pass on a day of fishing to go up to north woods, Franks and whatever else trips our trigger......even a yard sale along the way.

Plan on Thursday. You, me, Jeff and my son, Craig.
I went to my sisters this evening and ate crappie that I caught with my nephew, Tyler. I don't get to eat fish without being the cook very often, she did a good job. Also paid Tyler for helping me on the roof this week and a "bonus" for helping me over the summer, a new Vaughn framing hammer, a set of nail sets, a 25' tape measure, a chalk box and chalk and a speed square. He's taking building trades his senior year and will put the tools and the experience to good use.
Thursday will be fine if:
1.) I get my siding job finished or
2.) It's raining
Nice of you to pass on the tools of the trade to Tyler, not many young people getting in to the trades ......which is sad because there will always be a need for people who can build. Both my son's passed on going to college and went right into the trades making good money while their class mates are paying student loans
Speaking of finishing siding, I needed to take out and install a new patio door on the project.
I find this

Years of moisture coming in and a colony of termites was pretty rough on the floor.
Homeowner had the termite people out a week ago so I hope that’s being taken care of. So I proceeded to cut out rotten subfloor and bond plate and replaced it with new.

She’s having a new floor put in later so either I or someone else can remove any more offending material
The rest of the subfloor is good just a little underlayment might be all.

Steve,
That floor looks like the bottom of some BOATS........:Rofl
