Another thought crossed my mind.

He can’t “Moderate” between the hours of 8pm-4am on week days, and 9pm-5am on weekends and Holidays.

Like right now, he is probably sleeping off a high dose of Melatonin, and Metamucil.

After a early morning cup of geriatric coffee, he can then Moderate.
