    Engel Hats......

I have 3. The first one was given to me about 2-3 years ago along with a Engel shirt when I visited the Florida warehouse with Floyd, he told Mike that Engel needed to get their name in Michigan..... I hope by now his freebies have been paid in full.

The second I bought with my first dry cooler purchase, that one is Camo and I wear it hunting.

Rich gave me and I wear it constantly, it’s just getting broke in! Thanks again Rich.

Back hair shirts I’ll pass on

I did go to Nautica clothing shop today for some casual/formal wear...... I think the Engel hat matches perfectly.

Went out surveying today with my son. First 40 corner we had to shoot was in water 16" deep. How do I know that? My Burley boots are 17" and I took them off for my son to wear, hoping he didn't go over the top. There I stood, two miles off the nearest road in the middle of a cypress bottom in my sock feet, standing on my camo jacket to keep my feet dry, watching the water come to within an inch of the top. Finished surveying a 375 acre tract then hit another job where we surveyed a piece that was being split off a larger tract. We had to shoot some points along the Ouachita River and I got to stand and watch something crappie sized chasing minnows around a tree top. I was the pack mule, toting the surveyers bag filled with 1/2" black pipe, metal detector, hammer, shovel and assorted other heavy things. Wish I would have packed a spinning rod in the bag along with a hand full of jigs. I could have put them to good use. No fancy dress up clothes needed in this neck of the woods.

I have another hat for you Steve. And Mike still needs a better foothold. Until now, we are the ones buying the stuff. The hat... you MUST wear!

Jerry, does your son do survey work? Obviously you have knowledge of it. I have a job for you. I'll be the pack mule and wade in the water. Payment in the form of walleye fishing and good old fashion ribbing one another. Steve and Aaron can tag along in Steve's boat so we can point and laugh at their first "polish tangle"

Going to try some Florida crappie fishing today with c.c member “Conrad” at his place in Mt. Dora.
Picked up a 6’6 UL rod and paired it up with a Pflueger President 6925 Reel, 4 lb test crappie maxx hi vis line. Assorted jigs and plastics all from BPS......Engel Hat, Huk shirt and Sunglasses.

Too bad I didn’t have some 1/16 oz sickle hook jigs from Fish Sniper Tackle to do my “Pro” moting ......Rylee you’re missing a opportunity to get into Florida! 2017 "Shots From The Hip"

Y’all stay warm up there.....oh yeah where did I put my Hawaiian Tropic suntan oil.....

Rich, the only thing I know about surveying is grab the sack full of rebar and pipe and head thata way. My son is the brains of the outfit.

So, what you are saying is: You could come over, pretend you know what you are doing for half a day, and then go fishing? Why does that not sound any different then any other day when friends get together? Oh wait, I know. Usually the day starts out with: "Yes, I know what I'm doing, I've done it 1000 times...." it ends with flags through the forest that looked like Hansel and Gretel tied them as they walked hand in hand with Helen Keller!!!

The short end of the stick went something like this:

Steve: I need to try this on my own. I've had a ton of lessons now

Aaron: I think if Steve and I put our gear together, we would have enough to do this!

Steve: I've only lost a planner board 10 times. I'm not doing to bad

Aaron: Turn around quick, I think I still see it

Steve: Quick turn, 45 minutes later they finally get their tangle figured out. Only after cutting the lines in 20 places

Aaron: Steve, you think these reels are still calibrated now

Steve: Shutup and get the net, this thing is a giant

Aaron: You still hae 200 feet of line to go. Or maybe 30. Are you sure you didn't cut off 200 feet of line

Steve: Keep an eye on that board Aaron, they are not cheap

X-rays today confirmed my suspicion. 15 years ago, I was diagnosed with disc degeneration between my L5 and Sacrum. Today, I found that it was ALL gone.

Not sure where we will go from here. Can no longer run, or do leg workouts. Golfing is out along with sports with major rotation. I guess I fish more. Now I know why those Smooth Move seats were a good investment!
