Thread: 2017 "Shots From The Hip"

Oh yesterday was a really good day, I enjoyed the time spent with Jerry and Steve. The whole weekend wasn't a bust after all the rain and wind. Cabelas yesterday and fishing today. My buddy David and I went up to croton dam on a late morning adventure hoping to find some gills and crappie. Well we found them in 35fow right right to the bottom gills crappie and perch, we had a variety of bait- minnows, wigglers, waxies and red worms. At first the bite was very light and slow but it picked up as the day went on, I would even say we had a frenzy for about an hour. Then the gators moved in and the big school that was under us was now 1 or 2 maybe 3 fish. So we moved around and picked up a few more. It was a great fall day on the water only 3 other boats

Thanks Jim, I was hoping to find those at Cabelas last weekend but they had none. I'll just go right to offshore's website and order a couple.

Okay, If I'm a fish......those guys or those flashy baits..... no brainer. And I was kidding , you guys are a great looking bunch of fishermen.

I think you need a eye exam Danny......BTW, we were talking about you the other day and was wondering if you're coming to the spring camp? Are you all settled in now?

Somebody give Kevin a puppy worm pill. Just kidding Kevin. Hope to meet you guys someday, y'all seem like some fun loving , good time guys. Plus then I can show you what a round belly really looks like.

With the change in weather recently it makes one think of Winter which is surely on it's way, so don't forget to make sure snow removal equipment is ready to go, generators as well. Furnace filters replaced.


Ice fishing stuff comes off the shelves and gets dusted off.

Did I hear ice fishing,can't wait,no boat required,lol
