    Default Ice is gone..


    We took a ride this morning and checked some of our local lakes. All of them we checked were open except a couple that were 1/2 open. Got the boat batteries charging. If it ever warms up were ready to go. We got 2-4" of snow just a few miles from here. It won't be too long now.

    I took my boat in 2 weeks ago for some motor work. I sure hope it's ready to go soon. Our local lakes have ice receding about 10' from shore but it'll be a while before I can launch. Right now I have to be satisfied with bank fishing for suckers and perch.

    Daughter and I checked our two favorite local spots... Both free and clear.
    Wifes bday is Sunday, it's suppose to be sunny and 60+. She wants to go fishing.
    its her birthday so I guess I HAVE to do what she wants... :-)

    I think we are all feeling anxious for own water. I know I am getting excited. The only sucker fishing I have ever done is trying to catch one in the bucket while pike fishing. I live over by lake st. Clair, where would be a good destination for some decent sucker fishing?
