I don't have that specific unit Tim, but I have my HB mounted on my troller. I have the Navionics maps, but a few others have Lakemaster.

Thanks: Did you use the transducer that came with the unit? I am wondering about interference from motor. Also do you use the maps? I looked at the Great Lake map list, it shows Hardy Pond,Can I use this in the tournament, or will I need to save it for bass fishing?

Tim..I have an 898 HB, and have both Navionics and LM..my cards are about 4 yrs old..both work well for their intended use..the LM has been good for inland lakes in MI..I use the Nav. for the Great Lakes..also, if you have not already, go to the BBC and you will find MUCH info on your new unit..there are quite a few very knowledgeable folks there, you will learn for sure 5

I have a Helix 5 and connect it to my Terrova. No problems yet!! Also I have a lakemaster card and it works fine for high def lakes like Hardy but not so much on non-high def lakes.

I had no interference issues using the td that came with 798si unit. I do use my maps...especially to mark everybody else's honey holes. Random posts and thoughts... The depth gradients on my 798's could be a bit larger font. Hard for ole eyes.

Tim: You sold guns? I thought the cardinal rule was that you never sell guns or boats? Or was that women and guns? Or women and boats? or... well anyway. I've only sold one (gun) in my life. It was the biggest piece of crap in existence today. Bought it for my wife, shot it three times, sold it. Wasn't Remington's fault.. it was just a crappy round. Also sold a boat, but I had no use for a 26 foot lawn ornament that slept six!!!

One gun was a gift, I don't shoot trap, and legs are getting where I don't walk and hunt birds, and the inline black powder, Just a CVA. Now for me its hard to part with any of the boats we have, just ask Dar.
I'm shure dad would tell me to get something I can use, We fished together more than we hunted. On Target in Kalamazoo was good to me I thought, two other shops didn't want to give me hardly nothing.

Had the same unit ( Helix 5) with the Lakemaster Card. I sold the card on here a couple months ago, and sold the Helix.

Looks like I missed out. Did you not like or did you upgrade?
