Last gun I sold was a Ruger Super Redhawk .44 cal. 7 1/2"stainless revolver I used when I did bear guiding. No longer did the bear guiding so figured I didn't need the gun.......about 3 years later I was kicking myself in the tail so I bought a new one just like it. I've traded a few for a different caliber.
Rich I think if you're trading or selling a gun/boat to obtain another gun/boat (equipment) the Cardinal rule has not been broken....I've been in violation a few times in my younger days :-(

Oh ya, trades are a completely different topic. Glad you got a good deal Tim. Too many people want to rip someone off for something. They always want to make as much money as they can. I haven't shot trap or skeet in a long time. Used to be pretty good at it. Always shot it with a 20 gauge. Had to get them quicker than the 12. It made me a much better bird shooter as well. Come to think of it, the last time I did it, we were shooting it with a 410. Made it even more of a challenge!

    Checkout h2ohammer.com

He does a lot of soft plastics for crappie fishing as well as a few others. He is a member sponsor and does awesome work. I had him do up some custom baits for me. Comes up with tons of color patterns and even has "super glow" stuff.

I had him do up some custom 4 inch minnows for tournament fishing for Walleye. Sometimes the difference is putting something in front of a fish that they have not seen before. He even adds trailing scents!

Kevin, wait till you see these things!!

    Random post.

I've been lucky enough to be able to work out of my shop during this last blast of snow and cold. Custom building this kitchen cabinet using oak. Countertop is 1 3/4"maple butcher block that I bought and altered to fit, I don't have enough clamps or big enough planer to build a top like that. A few more parts and pieces to go and this project is done.....then on to another.

Five, never call it kindling.... Instead use the phrase "highly classified wood prototypes that must be destroyed to protect my privacy"

    Nice,

Should have said something, I think I have enough "big" clamps to do that one up. Used to make and sell butcher blocks... Doesn't Johnson's have a planer that would have done that? If not, I think they have a big drum sander. I think my planner is 14 inches. Might have been able to do a couple at 13, plane them down and then biscuit joint them together? One thing I learned about butcher blocks... you have to use a "food grade" quality glue. There is one in particular (that I can think of) that is sold at Menards. I can picture the label (not the name) but it does say "food grade" on the back of it.

That thing would turn in to a fish cleaning station really quickly!!!

You can go fishing around in my freezer.... I'm sure you can find some in there!!!! Still a couple of weeks out on the Detroit river run. Saginaw has been hit or miss. One day it is good, the next, not so good. I've been swamped with orders, I do look at my boat however... Which reminds me, as soon as this post is over, I finally need to order my "Smooth Moves" seat from Cabelas. IF you have not seen one of these things.... look it up. Imagine a high quality trucker/tractor suspension seat in a boat!!!! I love my air ride seats don't get me wrong... but my boat will have two of these before I hit the water... Passengers... you are welcome!!!!!!!
