I have caught a few bigguns from stoney creek metropark, my biggest was 17" but they are few and far between.
Biggest I've witnessed was 15 1/2. This was through the ice on Coldwater Lake in Branch County.
I rest my case. But would love to see an honest 18 1/2 slab

I saw the same post as you did Gary. Although I have no reason to discredit anyone, I wonder if the person "recalling" the catch, might have been referring to a White bass or a cross breed. Then again, just because I have not seen it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Yeti, Sasquatch, and Venomous Duck all come to mine!!
I remember catching a 42 inch walleye when I was 13.... but my grandpa might only remember it being 21 inches!!!
