Same here... Time to go fishing!

Gary, head over to the Saginaw river with your new baits this weekend. Average is about 75 fish per boat in 4 hours. Lots of sorting through the little ones but who cares. The pig females are in the river big time up there. Plus, the 8 fish, 13 inch limit can't be beat. That river closes on the 15th so I suspect she will be pretty busy this weekend. Independence bridge in Bay City by the Navy ship is a good place to start.
I am just too lucky. Wife drove over the Tib yesterday and it is totally blown out. Outsides its banks in many spots. Maybe I will just think about fishing this weekend
Started to scratch my itch...
First time putting the new boat in the water. Spent the afternoon getting acquainted.

I sure hope that someone gets out to fish today..60 here..Dee and I are going to Scotts to visit her aunt..lost her hubby recently :(
Wish it was going to be me. I have other things to accomplish however
Like Rich I have other things to wrap up, however I did stop by a couple launches this morn on lake Macatawa as I decided this body of water is way to convenient to overlook any longer. There's an old timer story about this lake and some crappie that warrants some of attention.
The old saying used to be.... Too many lakes, too little time. Now, you might have just a bit more time.
I have new seats to put in, two new spinning reels to mount and spool, one rod to change out another spinning reel, six line counter reels to spool, 4 counter reels to strip, add backing and lead core, a box of jigs to sort through, new custom jigs to make for the upcoming season (non production special "Pro-Staff" colors)... wait, it sounds like I have way to much crap to do
So that's why there were so many boats on the saginaw last weekend. Is the walleye season still open?
Only open on great lakes and the Detroit river. Lower michigan inland lakes and the Saginaw river open back up the third Saturday in April. May opener for the U.P
Side note, if you have back issues, or like me, you are hunched over after a day on the water, you owe it to yourself and passenger to invest in a "Smooth Moves"seat. They are expensive but worth every penny.
