We got here yesterday around noon and had to switch sites first thing as I had forgotten the electrical is so blinkin far from the sites. It's a fine campground, but if you ever come, make sure you got 100' of power cord. Anyway...

we got on the water in 89 degree sunny weather with a wind out of the southeast at 10-15. It layed down more in the evening. We marked fish all over in 12-30 FOW, but the hungry ones seemed to stick in the 14-18 range. They came from all depths from 2' off the bottom, to 2' under the surface.

Carol lost a couple of fish. Pretty sure the one was a big smallie, but the one she pulled from under a downed tree could have been a big slab. We were catching them fairly regularly if we stayed in the right range and kept the speed up around .6 to .8 mph.

We did some slow trolling, some jigging, and some cork fishing, but the most productive seemed to be slow trolling. Water temps ranged from the high 50's to low 60's.

It's Friday noon right now, and we just nicely got off the water, back to camp with the boat, and had it covered and tied down when the storm I was watching on the water finally hit. Carol was glad we pulled lines when we did because it poured for 15 minutes before letting up some. No bridges, etc. here to hide under

These fish sure aint like the ones down in Sippy and Ark.

Tomorrow we go to check out Lake Diane and maybe Cub lake. Both are west of here 30 to 40 mins.
