Trying to install impeller on my 1988 60 hp Mariner. Name: 100_0042.jpg Views: 286 Size: 45.4 KB When I dropped the lower unit the 2 inch piece of foam type pipe was on the top of the water pump. Obviously worn out so I ordered a new one and got this 2 3/4 inch piece of plastic. Question is where does it go and how do I install it? I thought it was a guide for the water pipe but really have no idea. Help!
