    Default Carberator problems?

I have a 95 60 hp Mercury on a Tracker V-17. When my 18 gallon gas tank gets appx 1/2 empty my motor will stall on fast acceleration. Sometimes I can baby the throttle and it will get up to full speed - but sometimes it just wont run but about 1/4 throttle. It doesn't do this if my tank is full. Is it trash in carb or possible fuel tank/line problem?????

Change your fuel filter and drain and clean your tank, fill it back up with fresh gas and see if it does better... if that doesn't work take it to a qualified marine mechanic.

Make sure the hose that is inside the tank is down in the remaining gas. I've had that same issue where the pickup tube wasn't in the remaining gas in the tank. Sometimes it will be stuck on the side of the tank. When you have a full tank the pickup hose can supply the gas.

I agree sounds like a pick up tube problem in the tank.
