Sometimes I go with the intention to show off my crappie.com gear ,
Sometimes I hybridize my outfit as well .
Yesterday I had on a KABOOM ballcap and a crappie.com t-shirt .
It quickly became apparent , that in order to show off my crappie.com t-shirt
Sometimes I was not going to be able to get my KABOOM in on the image with crappie.com logo at the same time .....
It seems that time delay images and nice size crappie just don't mix if you are looking to get everything in the image .
Don't ya just hate having crappie too big for a good photo ?
sometimes I do , just saying
and for sure KABOOM is near when I am
particulars are as follows , the spawn there is about over with , last ones to the party are about all that's left . the bulk of the fish appear done for this year in this location.
Now here in lies the you just need to be aware and know a few things ....
Ghost minnows aka Mississippi silver sides in Texas ,start to spawn about the same time the crappie are done.
they like to spawn on wood it seems and the edges of the dock are wood. So all them there tired ole hungry crappie stay right below the edge of the dock ,when the minner frolicking begins and just hammer them unsuspecting minners .
it will not be a case of I think I got bit and often times within a half second of the jig hitting the water ...K A B O O M !
spawning ghost minnows look like a live bowl of spaghetti on the surface at a glance and they also do this exact same thing out in the big timber on the tops of the trees this time of year ....
so add this tidbit of info. to me giving up a secret in the art of how to ketch a herd of crappie ....
just saying
p.s. there will be some not so big crappie in the mix as well and maybe one or 2 of them not white crappie as well and you might ketch more than a few too ....
all 51 in an hour went right back in the water where they came from .![]()
