Bought a ford bronco, traded in the f150. Go ahead, call me crazy
I loved that f150. And I didn’t think i would. Wasn’t thrilled about a ten speed transmission, was thrilled about a 2.7 liter two turbo. Thought being an aluminum body was kinda cool, but I did not know. Turns out it was all awesome. Quick as heck, stopped on a dime. Tossable, Felt half the weight it really was. Great fuel economy, 23 mpg combined.
We had it for 72k miles, and for six plus years. And NOW wifey says it’s too big for her! What!
Anyway, ok. I look for smaller stuff and find the bronco. They’re gonna give me over $20k for the f150, wow. And the bronco gots a bunch of money back too, 1k here, $750 there, another 1k for owning a jeep (and don’t even have to trade it in, just have to own one). Wow. Walked out on first offer they did, second one was exactly what I asked for, shhh, I asked for another 4k off, shh. They took it. Ok, done deal! Almost felt I left money on the table, but I thought it was a good deal, so here it is:
Happy wife happy life.
Oh, and get this, the lower trim levels only offer an outboard motor engine, a stinking 3 cyl turbo engine. So I of course had to upgrade to the 4 cyl engine. But wait, only 4 cyl, but but, it's got 250 hp and 277 torques! love it, so far, but only drove it home, so we see. I know I'll miss that f150 though, I thought it was one of the best vehicles I've owned. Might have to trade the F250 for an F150 that'll tow the fifth wheel. doh
