I sling pellets at the tree rats daily around here. If they hear a door open they cut a trail. Rat Terrier treed one just this morning and as I walked up with my pellet gun the big Gray lept from 30ft in the air to do a belly flop as it hit the ground. That didn't slow it down a bit as the Terrier was right on it's bushy tail.
