I would surely imagine the 3rd party machinists are working on ideas ...

Let me first say I loved both of my Ulterras when they worked. I still have one for a spare. They were a huge time saver and help for somebody with structural body issues.

The weak point of the Ulterra is the lift/deploy/stow mechanism. My last Ulterra was worked on FIVE TIMES IN SEVEN MONTHS and cost me a couple of guide trips. When both of mine ended up down for parts that were not available, I had zero choice but to buy the only 36v 60” motor available anywhere, my Ultrex. I added the IPilot Link head as soon as I could locate one.

Until they beef up the lift mechanism, I would never consider adding anything to the motor that adds weight to it.

My set-up is heavy!
