my yearly average is slowing dwindling , gas prices , heat , age and general family and work options in the mix , I dont keep accurate numbers ,but I do use imaging on my water visits to get rough estimates .
that trip was in the hundred plus fish range , but it isnt terribly uncommon there to do that. I used to hit pretty high yearly numbers when I went daily , but I have slowed up quite a bit in the last couple of months, don't seem to have quite as much spare time lately.

lakes that I know well that abound with crappie make it pretty easy to get on them quickly in most cases. many spots I frequent are chosen based on the time of year and present conditions and past experiences in those same conditions.
it is pretty common to get bit first pitch of the jig if you are tuned into the when and where program .

You have a lot of water to keep track of, Ketchn. I have wondered if you keep a super secret log of various water with appropriate notes.
    Curious minds…

Fakebook is an excellent tool for tracking when and where , it gives you "memories" pop ups of what took place on the same day in the years before , sometimes it reminds me I need to go hit whatever spot ,saw one the other day from 7 years ago and it reminded me to hit a spot locally I have not visited in a long time .
of course there is a fair amount of trash on Fakebook and weird algorithms things and such , but it does give me a few ideas for sure .
my image albums are dated in my laptop back about 5 years or so as well and often tip me to visit some spots as well .
and in the end "details" in the properties area of the images you capture have time and dates on them as well ....just saying

The phone will give me pop ups from my gallery from years past. It is a good reminder as well.

the good news is that most spots I visit I have been to them at various times of the year in the past and know what the general program will be in those locations , I frequent a variety of spots that often have no resemblance of the last spot , some are clear water and deep , some are mud puddles and then the in between as well , and the crappie in them have very different things going on in most cases .
