    Default The Backseat program

Sometimes when I bum a boat ride I offer up the ole back seat program . Because in the end it aint really gunna slow me up all that much !
Some complain they got backseated and I heard this many times from folks that are trying to ketch crappie from the rear perch and use it as an excuse for a poor performance .
But it is all just a state of mind , we didn't use the graph and were just lake testing this ole stick steer that is likely going to be sold today .
I hammered em all over the lake at every stop and when my other bud said where did I ketch them when I showed him a picture of the ice chest ,,,,my response was this ....
anywhere I pitched my jig !
All kidding around aside this trip was similar to many of the other trips and we had a discussion about how many and how fast I could have hammered them off the bank .
My response was faster than in this boat for sure and could limit out in under an hour off a few of the "fishing" docks at that lake quite easliy .
Particulars were as follows , he was in the water at 6 am when I rolled up fishing around a courtesy dock and I walked up and said this about that ,we could just stay right here and hammer the fire out of them if you want as I pitched them in his ice chest .
He said no no , lets run up to the condos on the other end of the lake . I said ok reluctantly knowing the bite was just stupid on fire at that dock and they were not playing hard to get and THUMPING jigs every pitch !
So off we went and hammered at the other stops on this trip , now mind you this ,even though I had to run off about 9 am and it was a hundred outside at noon , I went back to that dock for a few more on my lunch break just because .....
he of course said man you are hard core when I sent him some pictures in a different hat later in the day
He only kept his 25 limit this trip and I pitched a terribly high number of crappie back in the lake , only used 2 colors of baits (pink and yellow , orange ) and 2 head covers this trip , liked it falling and rising and moving and not still . most of the fish were in waters around 10 to 12 foot deep .
It might be well over 100 outside , but to be sure the crappie could care less , stay hydrated and cover up your skin and go hammer is the word and of course KABOOM too !
p.s. the pink and yellow seemed to have a slight advantage over the orange

    Man O Man!!
You should keep track(number) of the fish you catch in a years time.
I would be interested as would everybody here on CDC I’ll bet.
