I believe brand used to make a difference. Now technology is so close that they all make vehicles that will give great service with reasonable Maintenance. The 2012 had 180 on it when I parted with it. It had regular synthetic oil changes it entire life. It had front brake pads replaced the summer before trade in. Oil changes, filters, battery and tires.

Tech may be the same, but quality of part suppliers ain't! Check out all the problems with the F150 trannys in recent years. Class action lawsuits abound. Remember, the company whose name is on your vehicle just assembled it- they didn't make most of the parts!

I work for one the the suppliers of automotive parts. Most of the parts we make have our name on them somewhere. I am in the Maintenance department. I keep the machines running
